Expect a strong, energizing sequence designed to build endurance, strength, and focus.  Best for those who are familiar with foundational poses and ready to flow with more vigor.

CHAIR YOGA AND OLDER ADULT SESSION

Accessible Movement for Strength, Stability & Longevity

At Revive, we believe movement is for everybody and that includes our older adult community. As we age, we naturally lose muscle mass, flexibility, and balance, which can increase the risk of falls and limit independence. But with intentional, daily movement, we can slow these effects and enhance quality of life. Chair Yoga sessions are designed specifically for older adults or anyone seeking a gentler, low-impact practice. These sessions focus on movement form how the body moves through space with proper alignment and efficiency to support functional strength and reduce injury risk.

With regular practice, benefits may include:

  • Increased mobility and flexibility
  • Improved balance and coordination
  • Decreased symptoms of anxiety and depression
  • Greater confidence in daily movement

Revive is here to offer thoughtful, supportive yoga that meets you where you are — whether you’re seated, standing, or somewhere in between.

YIN YOGA SESSION

Stillness. Depth. Release.

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice that targets the deep connective tissues of the body including fascia, ligaments, and joints rather than the muscles. In these sessions, you’ll move through 7 carefully selected postures, each held for 3 to 7 minutes, allowing gravity to guide the body into deeper states of release.

Unlike Vinyasa or flow-based practices, Yin does not include a warm-up, as the intention is to access the body’s deeper layers while the muscles are cool. This helps promote long-term flexibility, joint health, and energetic balance.

What to expect:

  • Passive holds supported by props when needed
  • Emphasis on surrendering to gravity, not engaging muscle strength
  • Different asana names and cueing, to reflect Yin’s unique approach
  • A quiet, introspective space for mindfulness and release
  • This is a deeply restorative practice that encourages inner stillness, physical awareness, and emotional ease. Perfect for those seeking balance, recovery, or a counter-practice to more active forms of movement.
